As we arrive at the close of November, I’ve been reflecting deeply on how this space, and I, have evolved over the past year.
When I began Tea with Self back in June, it was born out of a simple desire: to create a quiet corner for reflection, a moment of pause amid the noise. Together, we’ve shared cups of tea and truth, soft conversations about midlife, meaning, and self-connection. It’s been a joy and a privilege to walk that path with you.
But as seasons change, so too does the rhythm of my work. Tea with Self has served its beautiful purpose with over 120 posts (!), and now, it’s time for something deeper, slower, and even more intentional.
What’s Changing
From December, you’ll notice a gentle shift in how I write and share across this space. I’ll now be writing from three core homes within Midlife by Design: Curating Your Next Chapter:
The Midlife Circle (Mondays): weekly letters, reflections, and rituals for women navigating the transitions of midlife. This space replaces Tea with Self and will blend story, guided practice, and seasonal wisdom.
Letters from Midlife (Wednesdays): your heartfelt midweek audio letters, part of the Midlife by Design podcast, soulful stories and listener questions brought to life.
The Midlife Edit (Fridays): a gentle round-up from The Nest (my Home): new reflections, behind-the-scenes notes, product launches, and quiet inspiration for your weekend reading.
This rhythm feels calmer, more intentional, a structure that allows me to serve you (and myself) with clarity, creativity, and care.
What’s Coming in December
December will unfold as a month of reflection, rest, and renewal, an invitation to close the year softly and consciously.
Here’s a glimpse of what’s ahead:
Dec 1: Creating Traditions That Feel True in Midlife
Dec 8–14: The End-of-Year Reflection Ritual, a 7-day guided journey to help you pause, release, and integrate (MORE ON THIS BELOW ⬇️)
Dec 15: Christmas in Midlife: Celebrating With Ease, Not Exhaustion
Dec 22: The Sacred Pause (Christmas & Romjul)
Dec 29: Reflect & Reimagine, Closing the Year with Clarity
Each letter is designed to meet you where you are, to help you slow down, listen inward, and step gently into 2026 with grounded intention.
The 7-Day End-of-Year Reflection Ritual
A soft closing for midlife women who want to end the year gently, not urgently.
This isn’t about resolutions or reinvention. It’s about coming home to yourself, gathering the wisdom of the year you’ve lived, and creating space for what’s ready to grow next. We begin on 8th December. Here’s what’s coming:
Day 1: The Soft Return | You begin not with goals, but with a pause: How am I, really? A day to come back to your body, your breath, your pace.
Day 2: What This Year Held | You look back with honesty and tenderness, naming the truths, lessons, joys, and grief that shaped you.
Day 3: Releasing the Quiet Weight | You notice what feels heavy and gently loosen your grip. This is where light begins to enter again.
Day 4: Relationships & Belonging | You reflect on who nourished you and who drained you, allowing your relational boundaries to shift with compassion.
Day 5: Desire & Creative Aliveness | You listen for what wants to grow, the small, tender longings that signal your next becoming.
Day 6: Self-Trust & Identity Integration | You recognise who you’ve become and commit to moving forward from your centre, not your conditioning.
Day 7: The Year You Are Walking Into | You choose not to make resolutions, but rather a feeling, a word, or a rhythm to guide the year ahead, soft, grounded, and true.
This journey isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about honouring the woman you already are, and letting her lead.

A Note from The Nest
This isn’t an ending, it’s an evolution. Midlife, after all, is full of these beautiful recalibrations: the moments when we realise something has done its work, and we’re ready to grow into the next version of ourselves.
Thank you for being here, for reading, reflecting, sharing, and showing up in this community. Your presence makes this space what it is: alive, compassionate, and real.
I’d love for you to subscribe to Midlife by Design: Curating Your Next Chapter, where you’ll receive weekly reflections, letters, and stories to help you design your midlife with purpose, beauty, and calm intention.
Here’s to what we’re creating next, together, slowly, intentionally, one letter at a time.
With love and gratitude,
Kiran x
