This season of my life feels different - not because everything is perfect, but because I’m different.
I’m not pouring into people who keep showing me they’re not thirsty. I’m not bending, twisting, or reshaping myself just to be accepted in spaces that offer the bare minimum in return. That era - the one where I overextended just to feel enough - is over. We’ve closed that chapter with grace and finality.
I’ve spent too many years trying to earn love, prove my worth, and keep dead-end connections alive. I used to think if I just gave more, explained better, held on longer… something would shift. But now I know: reciprocation isn’t a bonus, it’s the bare requirement. If you can’t meet me halfway, don’t ask me to keep walking. I’m no longer available for one-sided effort dressed up as loyalty.
And let me say this plainly - I’m not building this life for applause. I’m not here to impress anyone or earn a seat at tables that drain me. I’m building this life because I got tired of handing over pieces of myself to people who never knew what to do with them.
I’ve worked too hard to unlearn what dimmed me… to heal wounds I didn’t cause… to find joy in places I used to just survive. This version of me isn’t asking to be understood. She’s not here for surface talk, vague intentions or emotional breadcrumbs. If you’re not bringing honesty, depth, and care to the table, don’t pull up a chair.
I used to chase clarity. I needed everything to make sense before I could move. Not anymore. These days, I let the unknown do what it does best - reveal. I trust the detours. I let the delays speak. I walk slower but steadier. Wiser. Softer. And more open than I’ve ever been.
Because what’s ahead of me? It’s not just what I want. It’s what I’ve earned. What I deserve.
There’s been a quiet unravelling within me. Not the chaotic kind - but a shedding. A release. I’ve outgrown the need to explain myself, prove my worth, or be everywhere for everyone. That anxious, overstretched version of me needed validation to feel valuable. This version? She chooses ease. She chooses peace.
Not out of defeat. But from a deep knowing of what’s hers to carry and what’s not.
I’m not as reachable. And that’s not by accident - it’s a boundary. My energy is no longer a public offering. My peace is not up for negotiation. I don’t need noise, attention, or performance. I need honesty. I need alignment. And I need space to keep becoming the woman I’ve fought to return to.
So here’s where I’m at today: moving quieter, living slower, but loving deeper, with myself, first.
This season isn’t about proving.
It’s about preserving.
And finally, it feels like me.
