Lately, I’ve been learning something that has softened my entire life: every day asks something different of me… and that’s okay.
Yesterday I woke up tired, sore, and emotional. I barely slept. My body ached, and my energy was low. So I rested. I napped. I did less. I softened instead of forcing myself through the day. And I refused to feel guilty for it.
Today? I woke up rested. I went to Pilates, caught up with work, recorded a podcast episode, cooked two meals, ordered my Becoming board photos, and I did it all with ease.
No day looked like the other. No rhythm matched. No energy repeated itself.
And here’s the truth I’m finally accepting:
I’m not meant to be the same woman every day.
Some days I expand. Some days I contract. Some days I move. Some days I melt.
And all of it is allowed.
I used to live by rigid rules and expectations I put on myself… but the beautiful thing about growing into yourself is realising this:
I made the rules, and I can change them whenever I need to.
I’m learning to show up for myself in whatever way my body, heart, and energy require. Not out of discipline. But devotion. Not from “I have to.” But from “I get to.”
This is what flow looks like. This is what becoming looks like.
And honestly? It feels like freedom.
