I don’t write because I’m brimming with sunshine or have it all figured out, I write because I love to learn, grow and evolve, to feel all the feels, to be present, to love, to show up for myself in whatever way I can, no matter how I feel.
That’s just the truth, always have been. I feel everything deeply: the joy, the pain, the ache, the beauty. Sometimes it’s so much that it knocks the wind out of me.
And writing is how I survive it, it’s how I bring breath to the places that feel too tight, too shadowed, too forgotten.
You see, those of us who carry a tender heart don’t get to float through life; we work at it every day, we work at staying open, being kind, not hardening, and let me tell you, that is a quiet kind of bravery.
I write to remind myself that leading with softness still matters, that love, even when the world feels cold, still wins.
I’ve spent almost five decades…
