Some mornings, I sit in the quiet and wonder how we’re even doing this. How we, as midlife women, are holding it all, and still rising.
There’s the peri/menopause, the brain fog, the mood swings, the weight we can’t shake, the hot flushes that come out of nowhere, the exhaustion with a side of rage.
Then there’s the full life: careers, businesses, bills, teenage kids, adult kids, no kids, ageing parents, grief, regrets, forgotten dreams, the heartbreak of feeling invisible, the joy of rediscovering ourselves, and the ache of asking: Who am I now?
And somehow, we still show up.
I see you.
You are rewriting the narrative every day by living it. You are not fading. You are arriving. You are stepping, not stumbling, into your sovereign era.
This season is not a decline. It’s an unveiling. A stripping back of all the things you were told you had to be.
Now? You choose.
You move with clarity as your compass and peace as your daily devotion. You no longer bend to please or prove. You flow, like the river, soft but never weak, gentle but never directionless.
You know storms will rise. Shadows will linger. But you also know this: your roots run deep.
You have built a life out of your own strength, even on days when the ground beneath you shifted.
You’re not interested in relationships that drain you, conversations that diminish you, or narratives that silence you. You’ve outgrown struggle love, and one-sided friendships.
You offer your energy like sunlight, purposeful, healing, sacred. And only to those who honour it.
You are no longer defined by what slipped away. You are claimed by what remains: your truth, your time, your voice, your body.
You’re not chasing perfection. You’re claiming wholeness.
You are the woman you’ve always been becoming. And she?
She’s finally home.
Journaling Prompt:
Who is the woman you are becoming, and what no longer belongs in her life?
Inspired Call-to-Action:
Today, do one small thing that honours your sovereignty, whether it’s saying no, resting without guilt, or speaking your truth without shrinking.
