Today has felt like a full lifetime in a single day.
I went Live on Instagram for the first time with Home, Life and You. We spoke about aligning life with your values and aspirations, how to slow down in a world that glorifies speed, how to rediscover joy, and how to gently challenge those sneaky limiting beliefs that creep in.
But here’s the truth behind the screen…
Before I went Live, my inner critic was loud.
“You’re not good enough.”
“Who do you think you are?”
“You don’t even look the part today.”
It took every ounce of self-awareness to breathe through those thoughts, to recognise that they weren’t truly mine, just echoes from other people’s voices I’d internalised over the years.
So I sat with myself. I reminded myself of my ‘why.’
The real reason I do this work.
Because I know what it feels like to lose your spark.
And I know what it takes to find your way back home to yourself.
And the Universe, in her divine timing, sent me the softest affirmation.
As soon as the Live ended, my cousin video called me. She’d watched the whole thing. She told me how proud she was, how seen she felt through my words.
That moment landed in my heart like a quiet hug.
A reminder: we never truly know who we’re inspiring simply by showing up.
Later, I took myself on a little solo work date to The Swan Hotel. A slow afternoon with a cup of tea and a slice of coffee & walnut cake. I sat there, journal open, heart full. This is what romanticising life looks like to me, choosing softness in the ordinary. Pausing long enough to realise: this is the life I once wished for.
A Japanese saying I often carry with me floated into my thoughts:
“Each day is a lifetime. You wake up in the morning newly born… What you do today, how you do it, shapes your whole life.”
And today, I've lived a full life. I grew. I softened. I showed up scared and did it anyway.
But amid the beauty, the heat from this perimenopausal body of mine reminded me how uncomfortable it can feel inside your own skin. The anxiety. The sense of being overwhelmed for no reason. The panic that arrives uninvited. I’m learning to meet those moments with grace, too - even when it’s hard.
That’s why daily alone time remains a non-negotiable for me. I need that space to recalibrate, to be Kiran, not Mum, not Coach, not Daughter or Friend, just me. It’s where I anchor. It’s where I come back to the centre.
This work, this way of living, this path - it’s not always easy. But it’s worth it.
Every single day, I’m learning to honour the moment I’m in, to let it shape me, guide me, and remind me… I am already enough.
