October has always felt like my month. The light shifts softer, the air carries that first crispness, and of course, my birthday sits right here at its heart. It feels like a threshold, a page turning.
This year, that feeling is stronger than ever. Not in a dramatic, sweeping way. But in that quiet, grounded way midlife teaches us, the way that whispers: reset, soften, root.
For months now, I’ve been showing up here daily, writing, reflecting, sharing. I’ve loved it, every word, every connection, every truth poured onto the page. But I’ve also felt what my body has been quietly asking of me: space. Rest. Rhythm.
So today, with the turning of the month, I’m choosing a gentler way forward.
‘Tea with Self: Daily Unfoldings of Becoming’ will from today be ‘Tea with Self: Gentle Unfoldings in Midlife’ and will arrive every other day, each one paired with a podcast episode. Some days you may want to sit and read, others you may prefer to simply listen, and you’ll have both. Choice for you, space for me.
For my beautiful paid subscribers, there will still be a weekly letter, deeper, more expansive, more intimate.
And at the end of each season, we’ll gather for a 7-day Season Reset, a pause, a realignment, a chance to prepare for what’s next. Together, we’ll move through the The 5 Core Life Areas of midlife I hold dear: Health & Well-being, Personality, Character & Self-Discovery, Relationships & Connections, Career / Business & Finances, and Quality of Life.
And of course, Kiransinghuk.com will remain your weekly anchor; a home for life-changing articles, soulful reflections on midlife and menopause, and content to inspire you as you curate your next chapter with intention and grace.
Why this shift? Because I don’t want to perform productivity. I want to embody truth. And my truth is this: Midlife is not a race. It’s a rhythm. It’s listening to your body, your seasons, your soul, and making choices that honour them.
This is me modelling that for you. Slowing down. Simplifying. Choosing presence over push. Creating from wholeness, not exhaustion.
So here’s to October. To soft resets. To begin again, but always from a place of rhythm.
With love,
Kiran x
