Theme: Intention
I woke up today to the kind of quiet that feels like it’s holding you. The Norwegian highlands lay outside my window, mountains, fjords, and endless woodland, and when I opened the cabin door, it felt like time slowed. My shoulders softened, my breath deepened, and for a moment, all parts of me, past, present, future, seemed to sit together in the same room, at peace.
I stepped onto the porch, the air cool and clean, and took it in. Gratitude and contentment. If I could bottle it, I’d keep it close for the days when life feels too loud. This wasn’t just an arrival; it was a reminder of the life I’ve been making space for, one that holds beauty, breath, and belonging.
Morning Thoughts – Why I Came
I didn’t come here to escape. I came to be with myself. To listen more deeply, without the hum of other people’s opinions or the pull of outside noise. I need less distraction, more truth.
The last month has shown me sides of myself I’d forgotten or buried, playful, grounded, open, and unapologetic. Now I want to embody those qualities without needing them reflected back at me through anyone else.
For my soul: I want deep awareness, the courage to stand in my truth, and the freedom to own myself fully.
For my future self: clarity, rekindled friendships, a business that carries my real-life journey within it, and the Nest I’ve been dreaming about.
It’s as if one hand is on my heart, the other on the steering wheel, soul and strategy working together.
Soul Moment – The First Exhale
Something shifted today. Not because anyone else changed, but because I did. I recognised an old pattern trying to pull me back, over-giving, over-proving, and I stopped it before it took hold.
The truth that landed was clear: I will not settle for less than what I want, especially in relationships. That truth doesn’t belong just to love; it belongs to every part of my life, business, friendships, and family.
Here in these mountains, I am willing to lay down the need to be held up by anyone else’s presence. I can carry myself. I will carry myself.
Evening Reflection – Living the Day’s Intention
Today wasn’t about ticking boxes; it was about living my choices. I honoured my intention through quiet time, nourishing meals, an afternoon nap, inner work, and yes, even a Pilates workout, the one thing I almost skipped but pulled myself back into by remembering my why.
Being here is a preview of my future, what life could feel like when it’s just me holding my own rhythm, on my own terms. My intuition guided the day, telling me when to work, when to rest, when to move.
A month ago, I might have measured my presence against how connected I felt to someone else. Today, my centre of gravity is anchored in me. I didn’t need anyone else to validate my time, my choices, or my worth.
Soul Takeaway
Honouring myself isn’t just a phrase. Today, it looked like choosing me, over and over, in rest, in movement, in food, in thought. Tomorrow, it might look like pushing my body a little more. The next day, it might be setting a firmer boundary. But it will always be rooted in the same truth: I am no longer willing to sacrifice myself to keep a connection or keep the peace.
