It’s time to say goodbye.
Ten days. That’s all it was. But somehow, it feels like I’ve lived a whole lifetime in this cabin in the Norwegian Highlands.
No noise. No rush. Just me.
And that was the point, wasn’t it?
To strip it all back.
To see what remains when the world falls away.
What I’ve found here is something I’d been longing for, without even knowing how deep the ache had become: solitude. Sacred solitude.
I still remember Day 3. My dad called, asking how I was doing. And we ended up having a rather interesting conversation. I wrote about it here.
That call anchored something in me.
Because this journey, these 10 days, wasn’t just about rest. It was about remembering.
That I am the constant.
That I don’t need much to live well.
The past 8 years have been a slow and steady process of simplifying my life. Letting go of things I thought I needed to be “successful” or “seen.”
But here’s what I know now, deep in my bones:
A meaningful life isn’t built by accumulation. It’s built by alignment.
I’ve realised I don’t need a dozen platforms to share my message. I don’t need endless routines or 50 tabs open in my brain. I need space. Breath. Purpose. And enough clarity to show up fully, not perfectly.
This cabin gave me that.
I’m leaving with a suitcase that’s no heavier, but a heart that is fuller.
What I’m taking home:
A renewed connection to my inner rhythm.
A commitment to honour my energy with care.
A gentler way of moving through the world.
A deeper love for the life I’ve created, and the woman who created it.
This isn’t the end of a retreat.
It’s the start of a return to myself.
