“The most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself.”
Life has a way of pulling us off course. We get tangled in responsibilities, expectations, and the noise of other people’s opinions until we can’t hear our own voice anymore. Slowly, without even noticing, we lose touch with who we are at our core.
But here’s the thing: feeling “lost” isn’t always a problem. Sometimes it’s the universe inviting you to begin again. To shed the skin of who you thought you had to be, so you can meet who you really are.
It’s like the caterpillar in its chrysalis; it has to dissolve into something unrecognisable before it can emerge into the freedom of flight. Losing one version of yourself can be the most powerful step towards finding a truer version.
That’s what I’ve been exploring here in my little cabin in the Norwegian Highlands. This time away is my chrysalis, a place to reset, gain clarity, and plan what I want my next chapter to feel like…
P.S. I turned this into a private audio episode for The Midlife Circle. If you need it in your ears today, upgrade and come in.
