Hi, 😊
There is a difference between being loving and being available for everything. Between caring and carrying. Between supporting someone and becoming responsible for their emotional weather.
Many of us learned early that being needed was a form of love. So we anticipated, organised, remembered, solved, checked in, made things easier. And sometimes we became so good at taking care of everyone else that our own needs became almost invisible.
Midlife has a way of making that arrangement uncomfortable; not because we suddenly stop loving people, but because we begin to understand that love does not require self-abandonment.
You can say no and still care. You can have boundaries and still be kind. You can let another adult solve their own problem. You can rest while someone else is uncomfortable. You can choose yourself without making someone else wrong.
Today’s reminder: You are allowed to be a loving woman who is also a woman with limits.
And those limits don’t make your love smaller; they make it more honest.
See you tomorrow for your next Midlife Edit ❤️

Matching Energy: My New Midlife Boundary
I saw something today that made me stop scrolling. Not because it was profound in a poetic, Pinterest-y way… but because it was blunt. True. A little uncomfortable. The kind of truth that hits you in the chest because you’ve lived it. It was basically this:
If something I’ve written has made you pause, think, smile, or see your own life a little differently, and you’d like to send a little love back my way, you can buy me a Matcha Latte.
It helps me keep creating these little moments of reflection, encouragement, and possibility for you. And honestly, knowing that something I’ve written has landed with you is the loveliest support of all.
