Hi, 😊
There is a strange habit we have of treating ordinary days as though they don’t really count.
We’ll do it properly on holiday. We’ll wear the beautiful dress when there’s somewhere special to go. We’ll use the good glasses when people come over. We’ll rest when the project is finished. We’ll celebrate when we reach the goal. We’ll live properly when life calms down.
But what if this is it? Not in a frightening way, but in a beautiful way.
This Wednesday morning. This cup of tea. This slightly messy kitchen. This body. This home. This conversation. This ordinary life that keeps happening while we’re waiting for something more significant to begin.
Perhaps we don’t need to save our lives for special occasions. Wear the dress. Light the candle. Use the beautiful crockery. Make the cake. Call the person. Take the afternoon off. Go somewhere you’ve never been. Sit in the garden.
Whatever it is you’ve been saving for later, ask yourself: Why not today?
Because today isn’t the rehearsal; it’s one of the days you get, and it deserves to be lived.
See you tomorrow for your next Midlife Edit ❤️

Groceries, Laundry, and the Quiet Magic of Everyday Life
This morning started in the most ordinary way: pushing a trolley through the supermarket, stocking up on groceries for the week ahead. A soft rhythm to the start of Sunday, filling my basket with things that will feed not just my body, but the small rituals of my days.
If something I’ve written has made you pause, think, smile, or see your own life a little differently, and you’d like to send a little love back my way, you can buy me a Matcha Latte.
It helps me keep creating these little moments of reflection, encouragement, and possibility for you. And honestly, knowing that something I’ve written has landed with you is the loveliest support of all.
